He has to be the only right wing comedian in existence.
Every other one spouts off about how lovely Jezza is etc etc. He seems to be the only comedian on the planet with a different point of view.
Probably why he's never on TV anymore, I suppose.

I recall him saying a while back that having his own club meant that he could work on his own terms, enabling him to manage painful medical conditions - joints and bones. Also seem to remember even back in the day him slagging off pretty much every political party without much discrimination because he felt it was policies not parties that mattered. But lots of people veer right politically as they get older. Same with cooking food longer, getting religion, staying in more, and wandering in to rooms and leaving again without doing or saying anything.

He used to drink in a bar in Leicester Square back in the late 90s. Used to chat loads about West Ham in those days.
Always a bit of a precious cunt, would sulk if you said you'd seen him on the box.
